He is the author of Your Old Testament Sermon Needs to Get Saved, and Does the Old Testament Really Point to Jesus?

Today, I want to welcome H.B. Charles Jr. to the podcast. H.B. is the Pastor-Teacher at Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church of Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida, where he has faithfully served since the fall of 2008. H.B. is also an author of several books, such as: On Preaching, On Pastoring, The Difference Jesus Makes, and It Happens After Prayer.

Today, Dr. Jared Bumpers joins me back in the studio as co-host as we discuss one of my books, Succeeding at Seminary. Jared serves here at Midwestern Seminary as Assistant Professor of Preaching and Evangelism and is directing the FTC Cohorts here on campus. This week I am delighted to welcome Dr. Don Whitney to the podcast. Dr. Whitney is Professor of Biblical Spirituality and the Associate Dean of the School of Theology at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has authored nine books including Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, Biblical Spirituality, and several others.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Dave Furman joins me in a discussion on the pastor and trials. Dave serves as the senior pastor of Redeemer Church of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He is the author of a couple books, including a recent publication titled Kiss the Wave: Embracing God in Your Trials.

Today, Dr. Doug O'Donnell joins me in the studio as we discuss how to preach the literary artistry and genres of the Bible. Doug serves as Senior Vice President of Bible Editorial at Crossway in Wheaton, IL. He is the author of The Pastor's Book, The Beauty and Power of Biblical Exposition, and several others.
