Dr. Smith is pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR. He previously served as vice president for Student Services and Communications and professor of Preaching at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Dr. Mark Coppenger joins me in a discussion on the preaching as apologetics. Dr. Coppenger serves as Professor of Christian Philosophy and Ethics at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to teaching at Southern Seminary, Dr. Coppenger is managing editor of the online Kairos Journal.

Dean is the founding and lead pastor of City Church in Tallahassee, FL, where he leads in vision and preaching. Dean is an advisory member of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s Leadership Council with the Southern Baptist Convention. He is also a member of Baptist 21.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Steve Dighton joins me in a discussion on preaching to a familiar audience. In 1990, Steve Dighton became the founding Pastor of Lenexa Baptist Church.  He was the Senior Pastor of Lenexa Baptist Church until his retirement in March, 2015. He now serves as LBC’s Pastor Emeritus.
