This week on Preaching and Preachers, Dr. Ben Awbrey joins me in a discussion on the preacher and sermon introductions. Dr. Awbrey is professor of preaching at Midwestern Seminary. He has been teaching expository preaching since 1996 and he has written two books on preaching: How Effective Sermons Begin and How Effective Sermons Advance.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Burk Parsons joins me in a discussion on the preaching of R. C. Sproul. Burk is senior pastor of Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Fla., a Ligonier Ministries teaching fellow, chief publishing officer for Ligonier Ministries, and editor of Tabletalk magazine.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Dr. Danny Akin joins me in a discussion on the preaching of Adrian Rogers. Dr. Akin serves as Professor of Preaching and Theology, the Ed Young, Sr. Chair of Expository Preaching, as well as the President of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, North Carolina.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Dr. Matthew Barrett joins me in a discussion on the pastor and systematic theology. Dr. Barrett is Associate Professor of Christian Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also the founder and executive editor of Credo Magazine.

Dr. Pace serves as Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Preaching and as Associate Director of the Preaching and Pastoral Ministry Center at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forrest, NC.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Trevin Wax joins me in a discussion on the pastor and discipleship. Trevin serves as Bible and Reference Publisher at LifeWay Christian Resources and a visiting professor at Wheaton College. He is the general editor of The Gospel Project and serves as a teaching pastor in Middle Tennessee.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Jerry Vines joins me in a discussion on progress in the pulpit. Mr. Vines was a pastor for over 60 years. He served twice as President of the Southern Baptist Convention, and for over 23 years as pastor of the internationally recognized First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida.

This week on Preaching and Preachers, Dave Furman joins me in a discussion on the pastor and trials. Dave serves as the senior pastor of Redeemer Church of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He is the author of a couple books, including a recent publication titled Kiss the Wave: Embracing God in Your Trials.
