Preaching and Preachers

This week I am delighted to welcome Dr. Todd Chipman to the podcast. Dr. Chipman serves as the Dean of Graduate Studies and Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as the teaching pastor at The Master’s Community Church in Kansas City, Missouri.

He is an accomplished scholar and author having released many works including a recent contribution on the Gospel of Luke in: Discourse Analysis of the New Testament Writings, released in December 2020.

This week’s episode features an interview with my good friend, Dr. Steven Lawson from his recent visit here at Midwestern Seminary. Dr. Lawson is the President and Founder of OnePassion Ministries, a Teaching Fellow of Ligonier Ministries, an accomplished author, and serves as Professor of Preaching and oversees the Doctor of Ministry program at The Master’s Seminary.

This week I am delighted to welcome Dr. John Hammett to the podcast. Dr. Hammett serves as John Leadley Dagg Senior Professor of Systematic Theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Hammett is an accomplished scholar and author, and today we are going to discuss an aspect of his most recent book 40 Questions About Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

This week I am delighted to welcome Dr. Timothy K. Beougher to the podcast. Dr. Beougher serves as Associate Dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions, Evangelism and Missions, and as the Billy Graham Professor of Evangelism and Church Growth at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Beougher is also an author who recently released his new book, Invitation to Evangelism: Sharing the Gospel with Compassion and Conviction.

This week I am delighted to welcome Dr. John V. Fesko to the podcast. Dr. Fesko serves as the Harriet Barbour Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. He is an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church serving as a church planter, pastor, and teacher. Dr. Fesko is also an accomplished author having written or edited more than twenty books including his recent book The Need for Creeds Today: Confessional Faith in a Faithless Age.

This week, I am delighted to welcome both, Dr. Tom Schreiner, who serves as the James Buchanan Harrison Professor of New Testament Interpretation and Professor of Biblical Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his son, Dr. Patrick Schreiner who serves as the Director of the Residency Ph.D. program and Associate Professor of New Testament and Biblical Theology here at Midwestern Seminary.

Dr. Schreiner serves as the James Buchanan Harrison Professor of New Testament Interpretation and Professor of Biblical Theology, as well as the Associate Dean of the School of Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is an accomplished scholar and author, having released many books and commentaries including his recently re-released commentary on 1 & 2 Peter and Jude as part of The Christian Standard Commentary Series.

This week I am delighted to welcome Dr. Bobby Jamieson to the podcast. Bobby serves as an associate pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C., and previously served as assistant editor for 9Marks.
